OUR STORY

Who We Are

Shell Creek Cattle Company is a 100% family-run Cattle Producer that has been in the industry for over 25 years. We have relied on a strict principle of quality genetics designed to perform in the pasture. This simple principle has allowed us to develop a core herd of Brangus cows that have proven they can perform in many settings.

While our purebred Brangus Cows still perform optimally in Texas, it had always been our dream to produce a superior animal. We wanted steers that would grade out high at the packer and heifers that would mature earlier, breed efficiently, and raise knockout calves! With this goal in mind, we began to develop our Super Baldy herd. We took the highest quality Horned Hereford Bulls from W4 Ranch and bred our Brangus Cows to them. The end result was black bodied cattle with white heads (Baldies) that have exceeded our expectations!

Year over year our Super Baldy Steers wean heavier, gain more efficiently, and are a feedlot favorite! Our Heifers have also shown the same weaning weight and efficiency prowess; with the added benefit of early maturation and quicker bred back times.
